Dry Needling

Dry needling is a procedure used in Podiatry where a fine needle is inserted into the skin and muscle. The target of the needles are Myofascial Trigger Points, which are tight or knotted bands of muscles. By targeting these trigger points, this will reduce muscle pain and tightness, along with improved range of motion.

Note that dry needling was developed by medical doctors in the USA. This is different than acupuncture, which is not practiced in Podiatry and only done by acupuncturists.
